Updating M2R


SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • PC with Pentium II or better processor
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8
  • 256MB of RAM for Widows XP
  • 512MB or RAM for Windows Vista, 7 & 8
  • 20MB free hard drive space or greater depending on size of databases
  • 640 x 480 or better screen resolution
  • Internet connection for updates and uploading metro 2 files to the credit bureaus

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE ON AN EXISTING WORKSTATION

Standard install for single workstation
  • First backup your accounts.mdb and m2def.mdb files to an external drive or other location then the current M2Reporter folder
  • Run the M2R seutup .exe file
  • Copy backed up .mdb files back into the M2Reporter folder
  • Say yes to replacing existing files
Network install for server and workstations

1. Server Update Install
  • First backup your accounts.mdb and m2def.mdb files to an external drive or other location then the current M2Reporter folder
  • Run the M2R seutup .exe file
  • Copy backed up .mdb files bacl into the M2Reporter folder
  • Say yes to replacing existing files
2. Workstation Update Install
  • If your users import data into M2R each month have them backup their m2def.mdb file
  • Run M2R update. Choose update or fix if prompted
  • Choose Network for type of install
  • Make sure the database location is pointing to the accounts.mdb on the mapped network drive
  • Check that the setup information is correct
  • Once setup is complete you can close M2R and copy the m2def.mdb back into the M2Reporter folder
  • Choose yes to replacing existing files


Once the installation is finished you can open the program by using the shortcut icon on your desktop or going to your Windows Program List and click on M2R. If you need any help setting up or using M2R you can reach us at 1(800) 942-0470, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm pacific time.
