New Install of M2R


SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • PC with Pentium II or better processor
  • Microsoft Windows XP or higher
  • 256MB of RAM for Widows XP
  • 512MB or RAM for Windows Vista and higher
  • 20MB free hard drive space or greater depending on size of databases
  • 640 x 480 or better screen resolution
  • Internet connection for updates and uploading metro 2 files to the credit bureaus

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE ON A NEW WORKSTATION

Standard install for single workstation
  • If you have already purchased the program you should have received a registration request via email. Once you have registered your account with M2 Reporter you will have access to the program install files. If you need this information please contact us. If you have not purchased the program you can do so at M2Reporter.com.
  • After downloading the program files you will need to run the .exe file.
  • Follow the install wizard instructions.
  • Once the installation is finished you can open the program using the shortcut icon on your desktop or by going to your Windows Program List and clicking on M2 Reporter
  • You will now continue with the authorization and setup of M2R. For more information about setting up M2R check out the Before you Begin and Company Setup sections.
Network install for server and workstations

1. Server Install
  • Download program files through your M2 Reporter account.
  • After downloading the program files you will need to run the .exe file.
  • Follow the install wizard instructions.
2. Server Setup
  • You will now continue with the authorization and setup of M2R. For more information setting up M2R go to the Company Setup page under What Is...
  • Select Local for type of install
  • Database location will be C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\M2Reporter\accounts.mdb unless you changed the default destination folder during setup
3. Workstation Install
  • At each workstation/PC map a network drive to the M2Reporter folder on the server
  • Install M2 Reporter on each workstations local drive
  • Once installation is complete open M2 Reporter
  • Choose Network for type of install
  • Make sure the database location is pointing to the ...\M2Reporter\accounts.mdb on the mapped network drive
  • Check that the setup information is correct


Once the installation is finished you can open the program by using the shortcut icon on your desktop or going to your Windows Program List and click on M2R. If you need any help setting up or using M2R you can reach us at 1(800) 942-0470, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm pacific time.
